This policy explains what Answer Optimizer ("we", "us") collects when you use this website or our call answering and appointment booking service, why we collect it, and what choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email us and we will explain it in plain language.
Information you give us
When you request a guide, book a call, or sign up for the service, you may give us:
- Your name, business name, email address, and phone number.
- Details about your business such as services offered, service area, hours, and pricing, so the service can answer calls accurately on your behalf.
- Billing information, which is processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Information collected automatically
When you visit this site we record standard server information: IP address, browser type, referring page, and the time of the request. Our contact forms also record the time between the page loading and the form being submitted. This is used to block automated spam, not to profile you.
Information about your customers
If you use the service, we process calls, messages, and appointment details belonging to the people who contact your business. We handle that information on your behalf and only to provide the service to you. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to market to your customers.
How we use information
- To deliver the guide, resource, or service you asked for.
- To answer your questions and provide support.
- To send occasional emails about the service. Every one of those has an unsubscribe link, and using it stops them.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service, including blocking abuse and spam.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business — email delivery, hosting, calendar integrations, payment processing, and analytics — and only to the extent they need it to do that work. We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a business sale or merger, in which case we will say so before your information transfers.
Text messages and calls
If you provide a phone number, you agree we may contact you about the service you requested. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text message to opt out of further texts. Opting out of marketing messages does not stop transactional messages such as appointment confirmations you asked for.
Cookies
This site uses a session cookie that keeps our contact form's security check working. It contains no personal information and expires when you close your browser. If we add analytics or advertising cookies later, this section will be updated before they go live.
How long we keep information
Lead information is kept for as long as we are in contact with you about the service, and afterwards only as long as needed for legal and accounting purposes. Customer call and appointment records are retained for the duration of your subscription and deleted on request afterwards. Spam-blocking logs are short-lived.
Security
Information sent through this site travels over an encrypted connection. Access to lead and customer information is limited to people who need it to do their job. No system is perfect, and we will tell affected people promptly if a breach occurs that puts their information at risk.
Your choices
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your information, subject to records we are legally required to keep.
- Unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in the message.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. We apply the choices above to everyone regardless of location. To exercise any of them, email us using the address below.
Children
This service is for businesses. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be announced by email to active customers.
